How is the Procedure Done?
The scan is performed with the baby lying comfortably. A special gel is applied to the fontanelle area, and a small transducer is gently placed over it. The process takes about 15–20 minutes and causes no discomfort. The baby may sleep or be swaddled during the scan to ensure stillness.
